The CD Juke Box connected to the system server enables users to access multiple CDs and serve then over the network to the twelve client workstations. Currently, the system can store about 150 CDs and is capable of expansion by addition of more storage devices. The easy-to-use customized software enables users to access any CD in the database through a simple menu. The jukebox incorporates a search engine for easy tracking based on content and keywords

The Days Ahead...

  Currently the CD Super Store is implemented within intranet of Learning Resource Centre, Trivandrum. In the near future the facility could be extended to other similar Centres throughout Kerala with web or ISDN based interconnectivity to constitute a specialised Knowledge Centre. Thus, the CD ROMs available in Akshaya CD Super Store could be accessed from any LRC site. Online access of Akshaya CD Super Store could also be made possible.
